Investigation Continues into Early Morning Arson Fire in Porter

PORTER, TEXAS, Dec. 20, 2023 – Authorities continue to investigate an arson fire that destroyed County Line Ice House in Porter. The fire, which occurred just after 2 a.m. on Dec. 14, was responded to by Porter Fire Department, with assistance from Houston, East Montgomery County, and South Montgomery County fire departments.

The building, closed at the time of the incident, suffered extensive damage leading to permanent closure of the business. No injuries were reported. The Montgomery County Fire Marshal’s Office, after a thorough examination, concluded the fire was set intentionally.
