Jake Mason Identified as Victim in Cypress Lakes High School Shooting Tragedy

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – December 19, 2023 – A deadly shooting near Cypress Lakes High School resulted in the death of 17-year-old Jake Mason. The incident, which occurred off-campus, involved a group of unidentified males and an altercation leading to the shooting. The suspect, a black male juvenile in all black, fled on foot. Authorities are seeking a black four-door vehicle and have detained several witnesses for questioning. The local schools were placed in “secure the building mode” temporarily.
