FULSHEAR, TEXAS, Oct. 20, 2023 – A woman was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after dragging an off-duty constable deputy with her vehicle. The incident occurred on October 19, 2023, at a fast food restaurant located in the 14400 block of SH 249 Road.
Deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to the scene following reports of an off-duty constable deputy being assaulted. Subsequent investigation revealed that the suspect, later identified as Christina Amanda Pabon, was involved in a verbal altercation with another woman at the location. When the off-duty deputy approached her vehicle, Pabon attempted to flee, dragging him through the parking lot in the process.
The deputy lost consciousness briefly before attempting to detain Pabon. A struggle ensued, which continued until another deputy arrived on the scene and managed to detain her.
Pabon was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon – Causing Serious Injury. “Her bond amount and court information is not set at this time,” stated Constable Mark Herman.
The assaulted deputy’s condition was not immediately disclosed, but the charge implies that serious injury was inflicted. Further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
