Two Hospitalized After Dog Attack in Katy, Texas; Deputy Also Injured

KATY, Texas, Oct. 11, 2023 – Harris County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a dog attack at the 3500 block of Doherty PI in Katy, Texas. Preliminary reports indicate two adults were attacked by two large pit bulls. Both individuals have been transported to the hospital; one is in critical condition, described as an 83-year-old male, and the other, a Good Samaritan believed to be in his 40s, is in fair condition. A responding deputy shot both dogs and is also being transported to the hospital for a dog bite injury but is in good condition. The dogs’ ownership is currently unknown. The situation is under investigation.
