18-Year-Old Charged with Capital Murder in Fatal Shooting of 17-Year-Old on Ashford Meadow Drive
HOUSTON, TEXAS, Oct. 6, 2023 – An 18-year-old, Summer Arieanna-Faith Ames, has been charged with capital murder in the shooting death of 17-year-old Warren White. The incident occurred around 7 p.m. on January 8 at 12600 Ashford Meadow Drive and is being processed in the 486th State District Court.
The Stafford Police Department initially received a call about a person down at 11929 West Airport Boulevard. Upon arrival, officers and paramedics found Mr. White on the ground with gunshot wounds. He was subsequently transported to Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
Further investigation indicated that the actual shooting location was Ashford Meadow Drive. Witnesses reported shots emanating from a gray, four-door sedan with dark-tinted windows, targeting a vehicle in which White was a passenger. Acquaintances took him to West Airport Boulevard, mistakenly believing it was a hospital. The location was actually an assisted living center, from where paramedics then transported White to the hospital.
Ames was arrested on Oct. 4 as one of the suspects in the case. The investigation continues, and authorities are requesting anyone with information on additional suspects to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 713-222-TIPS.
