HAVERSTRAW, N.Y., Oct. 3, 2023 – Firefighters are currently battling a large fire that broke out at an asphalt plant in Haverstraw, New York. The fire has reportedly spread to other areas, generating thick, heavy, toxic black smoke. Although there is no immediate threat to the public, the dense smoke is visible for miles.
