52-Year-Old Man Arrested and Charged for Mail Theft in Montgomery County, TX
Montgomery County, TX, Sept. 27, 2023 – Scott Brigden, a 52-year-old resident of Montgomery County, has been arrested and faces multiple charges, including destruction of property and theft. Brigden is accused of breaking into mailboxes and stealing mail and packages.
Officers initially responded to the 1130 block of University Blvd. W on June 27, 2023, around 11:35 a.m. after receiving reports of vandalism and theft. Subsequent investigation by detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police developed Brigden as the primary suspect. Authorities determined that Brigden not only broke into several mailboxes but also stole packages from the package room at Warwick Towers Apartments.
Brigden was arrested on Sept. 20, 2023, based on an arrest warrant. A search warrant executed at his residence yielded multiple items considered to be of evidentiary value. Brigden was taken to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit and was released on an unsecured personal bond.
