Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office Responds Swiftly to Juvenile Shooting Incident

September 13, 2023 – At approximately 5:50 p.m., a 17-year-old individual was shot in the abdomen while driving. The incident followed weeks of verbal disputes.

The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office reported that the quick response of its deputies and the Emergency Medical Services team helped to save the victim’s life. The victim is receiving medical care.

Following the incident, deputies located and apprehended two 13-year-old suspects near the scene. Both were found in possession of firearms and have been arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The Sheriff’s Office urges parents, educators, and authority figures to discuss conflict resolution and firearm safety with children.
