Elderly Woman’s Wallet and Cell Phone Stolen in H-E-B Theft; Suspects Sought
On Monday, September 11, 2023, at approximately 5:15 PM, the Sugar Land Police Department (SLPD) responded to an incident at the H-E-B store located at 530 SH 6. The incident involved the theft of an elderly woman’s wallet and cell phone, which were subsequently used by the perpetrators to make unauthorized purchases in Houston.
According to SLPD case number 23-5509, the elderly woman was shopping when she was approached by two females who offered to assist her in locating items. While one of the females engaged the victim in conversation, the other seized the opportunity to discreetly pilfer the victim’s phone and wallet from her purse, which was placed in a shopping cart.
The stolen items, including the victim’s credit cards, were later exploited by the suspects for unauthorized transactions in Houston.
