Stafford Police Search for Hit-and-Run Suspect Following Fatal Crash
STAFFORD, TEXAS, SEPTEMBER 12, 2023 – The Stafford Police Department is on the lookout for a suspect involved in a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred over the weekend.
At approximately 6:17 a.m. on Sunday, September 10, officers responded to a major vehicle crash on the 13100 block of Murphy Rd., a street situated in Fort Bend County. Upon their arrival, they found that the driver of the vehicle deemed responsible had fled the scene on foot.
Despite a thorough search of the vicinity, the authorities were unable to locate the individual at that time. The crash resulted in the death of Stafford resident Cecil George.
The Criminal Investigations Division, through diligent investigative work, was later able to identify the suspect as 20-year-old Jose Antonio Pina Tenorio, born on December 3, 2002, and a national of Mexico.
As the search continues, the Stafford Police Department is urging anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Tenorio to come forward. They are encouraging individuals to reach out to the Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers, Inc. to assist in the investigation. Individuals providing information leading to Tenorio’s apprehension and the filing of charges may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $5,000. The authorities remain hopeful that community members will assist in bringing the suspect to justice, ensuring the safety and security of the Stafford community.
