Child Suffers Serious Injuries in Playground Accident at Lowell Elementary

WISCONSIN, Sept. 12, 2023 – Emergency services responded to a serious incident at Lowell Elementary School earlier today involving a young child sustaining potentially significant injuries.

A police officer was flagged down by an individual reporting that a 2-year-old child had fallen off playground equipment located at 140 N Grandview Blvd. The child, who is not alert following the accident, is suspected to have suffered a possible neck injury.

Currently, two fire department units are on the scene responding to the traumatic injury. The condition of the child remains unknown at this time as emergency crews work diligently to stabilize the young individual.
