MCTXSheriff Apprehends Serial Armed Robbery Suspect

CONROE, Texas, September 8, 2023 – The Gulf Coast Violent Offender Task Force, including members of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) SWAT, Conroe Police Department, and U.S. Marshals Service, arrested Gregory Taylor Olds on September 8, 2023. The arrest connects Olds to 12 aggravated robberies that took place in Montgomery County. Olds, who had active warrants in Harris County, was on parole for previous robberies at the time of his arrest.

Over the past two months, detectives from the MCSO Homicide and Violent Crimes division have been working rigorously to identify Olds, obtain an arrest warrant, and track his movements and location. Their continuous effort has been pivotal in facilitating this arrest.

Olds is currently detained at the Montgomery County Jail, with his bond set at $500,000.00.
