One Suspect Arrested, Second Remains At Large in 2022 Murder Case

HOUSTON, TEXAS, AUGUST 30, 2023 – Members of the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Apprehension Team (VCAT) today announced the arrest of Anthony Conerly, 22, who is charged with murder in the 2022 shooting death of Paul Ontiveros, 44. Conerly is now in custody at the Harris County Jail.

Another individual, identified only as Brackens, 22, has also been charged in connection with the murder but currently remains at large.
