71-Year-Old Female Identified as Decedent in Morton Ranch Subdivision House Fire, Investigation Underway

MORTON RANCH, Texas, Aug. 29, 2023 – The Harris County Fire Marshal’s Office (HCFMO) has confirmed that a 71-year-old female is the decedent in today’s house fire in the Morton Ranch Subdivision. The fire, which broke out in the 2800 block of Mustang Hill, prompted responses from both the Harris County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) and local fire department personnel.

HCFMO is on scene conducting an origin and cause investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the fatal incident.

As the lead investigative agency for this case, HCFMO will provide updates as further information becomes available.
