Investigation into Fatal Shooting on Alabama Street in Houston
HOUSTON, TX — Houston police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred at 3333 Alabama Street around 10:55 p.m. on Sunday, August 6.
The victim, a 33-year-old male, was found unresponsive and lying on the sidewalk near an apartment complex at the aforementioned address. The Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the scene and pronounced the man deceased.
According to HPD’s initial investigation, the male victim and an unknown male suspect engaged in an argument in the parking lot of a nearby store before walking down the street. Shortly afterward, multiple shots were heard, and the victim was discovered to have been shot.
The identity of the deceased male is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
The circumstances leading up to the shooting are still under investigation, and no further details about the suspect or the nature of the argument have been released.
