Houston Man Charged with Murder and Aggravated Assault in Seagler Road Shooting
HOUSTON, TEXAS – Houston police have arrested and charged a man in connection to a fatal shooting and wounding of a woman that took place on July 1 at 3003 Seagler Road.
The suspect, identified as Letrahder Ahhvaylle, 56, is now facing charges of murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He has been processed into the 338th State District Court, with his booking photo released to the public.
The fatal shooting victim was identified as Deandre Bowie, 40, who was found unresponsive with multiple gunshot wounds in the parking garage of the apartment complex at the aforementioned address. Paramedics arriving at the scene pronounced Bowie deceased.
Further into the investigation, officers discovered a female victim, 25, admitted to a local hospital with a gunshot wound to her leg. Authorities determined that both incidents were related.
A witness at the scene reported observing a black male running away from the location, brandishing a gun. This information assisted in the subsequent identification of Ahhvaylle as the suspect in this case.
On Thursday, August 3, Ahhvaylle was arrested without incident and booked into the Harris County Jail. The investigation is ongoing as detectives continue their work in this case.
