Instacart shopper thinks COVID-19 and Colon Disease are one and the same
An Instacart customer, Donna Se was in for a surprise when she received her order which was not what she wanted.
In the order were two colon disease tests instead of at-home COVID-19 self-testing kits. Contrary to popular belief, COVID and Colon disease are not one and the same.
However, this is likely a case of Instacart shoppers not getting paid to go check the stores for at-home testing kits. By substituting an item, they are able to get paid instead of having to drive to a store (wasting gas and time) and having to cancel the order because the items are not available and thus do not get paid. If you are a customer, please keep that in mind and only order COVID-19 testing kits with other items that should be available. We get it, you don’t want to waste your gas and time going from store to store, but neither do Instacart shoppers.
I would like to hear from an Instacart Shopper in the comments below. How much are you paid if the order can not be fulfilled? (You can remain anonymous, just use a fake email and name)
