Update: Rogel Lazaro Aguilera-Mederos has a new court date scheduled

A judge has scheduled Rogel Lazaro Aguilera-Mederos to come back to court on January 13, 2022, for a new hearing to reconsider his 110-year sentence in a fatal crash that killed four people.

During this hearing, prosecutors are expected to ask the judge for a 20-30 year sentence in lieu of the 110-year sentence.

This has come after over five million people signed a petition demanding that his sentence be reduced.
