Taco Bell Manager to a black customer ‘You look like the type to try and beat my a**’
A Taco Bell customer decided to record his interaction when it appeared that he was not getting anywhere with the Taco Bell manager after his wife apparently couldn’t resolve an issue on the phone with the manager who at first says his name is “Seth” but later changes it to “Bob”.
(just so you know, this is an old video that is recirculating on the internet again)
Things escalated when the manager said, “Hi, I’m Seth, Worldstar!” At this point, the customer said “I didn’t beat your ass, why would it go on World Star” at which point, the manager said, “You look like the type to try and beat my ass”.
The employee appeared to have his back, and we all know how customers who like to record get (and always start/stop recording when they are in the “right”) but when the manager said he “looks like the type” — that was a bit too racist for my blood and really quite childish of him to scream “Worldstar” as a manager (even if he gets paid a couple of dollars more than his coworkers, he is still a manager.)
At the end of the day, as customers, when a fast-food chain messes up our order, is it worth all of this effort to get a few dollars back?
What do you think? Are you on the Taco Bell Managers side or is the customer right on this one? Let us know in the comments below!
Saying you look like the type doesn’t have to do with color necessarily. It could be he looks like a trouble maker.
