Read that headline again. Rogel Lazaro Aguilera-Mederos, the truck driver who was recently sentenced to 110 years in prison in Colorado was going 40mph over the speed limit when he decided it was time to hit his brakes.

In fact, District Attorney Pete Weir said Aguilera was estimated to be going “in excess of 85 miles an hour.” This isn’t based on what he said. There was an entire investigation behind the wreck that killed 4 people.

As someone who drives a lot, I can confirm these truck drivers love to speed. It’s time they slow down.
