500 Dallas Street Fire – 10.13.21

If you follow popular apps like Citizen, you may have been notified of a kitchen fire in the 500 block of Dallas @ Smith Street. There is also user submitted video of firetrucks arriving to the scene. The videos are grainy, so its hard to tell if smoke was coming from the Hyatt Regency, which has the world famous Shula’s Steakhouse, or One Allen Center, which has an abundance of kitchens in the downtown Houston tunnel system.

One thing is for sure though:

It was a false alarm.
