Who is Nathaniel Julius?

South Africa – Nathaniel Julius a 16-year-old with down syndrome was fatally wounded by Eldorado Park police after he was not able to comply with their demands.

Mathapelo Peters, a spokesperson for the Eldorado Park’s police department said in a statement: “This was brought to our attention at province this morning, and immediately IPID was summoned. So, IPID is on the ground and they are investigating. Because of this, we are not at liberty to comment on this incident at the moment.”

While this happened in South Africa, it highlights how police reform needs to be addressed not just in America, but around the world. Nathaniel Julius is another victim added to a growing list of murders committed by bad police officers around the world.
