UberComfort Vehicle Qualifications

Be sure to check out why you should only be accepting UberComfort pings if you qualify for it.

In my opinion, it is not worth upgrading your current vehicle just for UberComfort, unless you are were already planning on it. While it is more per mile, it doesn’t justify going out to buy a new vehicle.

As of July 18, 2019, these are the requirements you must meet to qualify for UberComfort in Houston:

You (the driver) Must:
1) Maintain eligibility on a different Uber option such as UberX, Select, UberXL, Uber Black, or Uber Black SUV

2) Have a minimum star rating of 4.85 based on at least 250 trips

3) Drive a vehicle with more legroom than smaller, compact cars eligible for UberX and that meet the minimum vehicle year requirement as listed below:

*Keep in mind that Uber Greenlight Hubs have always maintained a secret list of vehicles they can make a case by case exception to with the UberSelect platform (via in person inspection). It is not wrong to think UberComfort may also have a list. If you do not see yours on here, get down to the Greenlight hub and ask nicely if they can make an exception. Generally, the max age on a UberComfort vehicle is 5 years old, and should be free of cosmetic damage both inside and out, and spotless when you bring it in, as the final determination will likely be done via a inspection by one of the Uber employees at the Greenlight Hub. However, if you are upgrading your vehicle to be UberComfort, stick to the list, as it is a sure bet. Remember, the years listed are on a age basis. i.e. If your Acura RDX is a 2014, it will likely not qualify next year.

Audi – A6, A7, A8, Q5, Q7, S6, S7, S8, SQ5, SQ7 – all vehicle model year 2014 or newer

Bentley – Flying Spur – vehicle model year 2014 or newer

BMW – 5-series, 7-series, ActiveHybrid 5, ActiveHybrid 7, Alpina B7, M5, X1, X2, X3, X4, X5, X6 – all vehicle model year 2014 or newer

Buick – Enclave, LaCrosse, Regal – all vehicle model year 2014 or newer
